Isaiah 55:8-9 ESV

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

The 55th chapter is about Israel returning to God where they will find mercy and grace. As human beings we do not understand mercy, we are often vengeful when someone hurts us, but God tells us in these versus; God is not like us, and we are not like God. God abundantly pardons! His ways are not our ways, and his thoughts are not our thoughts!
