When the Lord is on Your Side, Who Can Stand Against You?

2 Kings 19:32,34-35 ESV
“Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria: He shall not come into this city or shoot an arrow there, or come before it with a shield or cast up a siege mound against it.  For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake and for the sake of my servant David.” And that night the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians…”

The Israelites had caused most of their own problems. Their disobedience, their idolatry and their insolence against God got them into trouble time and time again. Foreign armies came against Israel to destroy them but so many times God stood for the Israelites because of His love.

God is ALL powerful, but I want everyone to see the power of God in just one angel. God sent one angel to the camp of the Assyrians and destroyed everyone of them in one night. For those who do not like the ending of life, understand that the Assyrians were going to try and destroy Israel first.

God destroyed the enemy that was going to destroy His children. Satan does not have this kind of ability or power, he cannot wipe out whole nations. Our God is mighty to save and just one angel by our side can destroy any enemy in our pathway!

Zephania 3:17 NKJV says;
The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

Prayer:
Lord, I stand in Your presence secure, none will come against me that You will not know it. None can defeat me, for I know that You will not send an angel to defend me. Strength and might are in Your hands!
