2 Chronicles 20:21-22 ESV
“And when he (Jehoshaphat) had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who were to sing to the Lord and praise him in holy attire, as they went before the army, and say, “Give thanks to the Lord, for his steadfast love endures forever.”

And when they began to sing and praise, the Lord set an ambush against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, so that they were routed.”

Imagine if everyday we got up and decided to praise the Lord before we started our day. David’s devotion this past week said seven times a day he praised the Lord.

If we made praise a pattern instead of something that we were just supposed to do, I believe we could have the results of David. He was the greatest King Israel ever had, we could live a life of exuberance. We could live a fulfilled life and we could even be talked about by God.

God said that David was a man after His own heart. That was God praising David for his actions! God blessed David with victories and love and a fulfilled life.

Not much is said about David’s maternal family because they didn’t believe in him but God did! I believe if we made praise a pattern of our life that we could be like Israel in today’s story.

We could sing and praise and watch God take down our enemies or walls, or take care of our problems or even our health issues. When Israel praised God, God moved into action. Take the hint, praise God continually, not just to get favor, but because He is worthy.

Prayer:
Father, I praise You from my heart and spirit. I praise You in the morning. In the noon time and as the sun rests. I praise You because You are amazing!
