Providing a Way

1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV
“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man.  God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

Everyone goes through trials, troubles, and temptations, we are not the only ones. The difference is it seems personal, it seems that we are being singled out. As Christians, I have no doubt we have a target on our backs because we have chosen to follow our Lord.

We choose not to let our flesh lead us, we choose not to follow the dictates of sin and just go with it. We have morals, standards, obligations to God to walk worthy of our calling in Christ Jesus.

Satan is after everyone but especially those who have given their hearts and lives to Jesus. Satan cannot destroy God so he will go after God’s children. But Jesus said, “…In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

Satan has no new tricks, just old ones, and he knows what buttons to push in our lives, but he will only be allowed to go so far. “God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

It may seem like we are at the end of our ropes, but hold on to God, He will bring us out at just the right time.

Prayer:
Thank you Father that You are watching us, individually and collectively. You know every scheme of the enemy and You have provided a way to escape. We hold on to Your hand Father, see us through the valley of the shadow of death and destruction, trials and troubles, In Jesus name, Amen!
