Galatians 2:20 ESV

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

No longer living for ourselves with all the complications that produces is real freedom. Living for ourselves takes on a selfish role, we want what we want and do what we have to do to get what we want. What that produces is selfish desires, empty promises, failures and shortcomings, all marks of the life of the flesh. But when Jesus came in and died for our sins, that act of that ONE day set us free from the confines of sin forever. We are not living to ourselves or for ourselves, instead, we live in Christ Jesus and He lives in us.
