Hebrews 12:2 ESV
“…looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith,  who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

This looking unto Jesus means we are NOT looking at everything else in our race that we run. Jesus is not only the author of our faith; He is the finisher of it also. Jesus is with us at the starting line, at the finish line and all points in-between.

Stop looking at other people running, stop looking at the spectators, and stop looking at anything that glitters and shines. We have to just keep our eyes on Jesus, the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega.

He for the joy that was set before Him did not regard the cross itself as a joy. He could look past the horror of the cross because He knew what He bought by going to the cross, you and me and millions of others.

Jesus kept His course. He kept His progress. He kept His joy and He kept His love for all mankind. Then He sat down next to God the Father because He defeated the enemy for you and me and brought back the dominion and power Adam and Eve gave away.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank you for keeping on course, routing the enemy and becoming the Victor over all things. I keep my eyes on You and not my circumstances.
