1 Timothy 2:1-2 AMP

“First of all, then, I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, ntercessions (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people,  for kings and all who are in [positions of] high authority…”

Despite how we feel about one politician or another our duty as Christians is to pray for those who are in authority. Many times Israel found themselves under a horrible King, but God always had a remnant that followed him. on’t be found in contention against God by not praying for those in authority. As Christians we honor God by praying and asking him for guidance and direction for those in authority.
