Keep Me Moving Forward

Genesis 41:46,49 ESV
“Joseph was thirty years old when he entered the service of Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh and went through all the land… And Joseph stored up grain in great abundance, like the sand of the sea, until he ceased to measure it, for it could not be measured.”

Joseph was seventeen when he was sold by his brothers. He was thirty when he became ruler in Egypt, only second to Pharoah. Joseph wasted no time with anger towards his brothers, instead, he fixed his sights to be the one ruler God said he would be in his dreams as a child.

Joseph did some amazing things in the first fourteen years of his reign. No doubt Joseph moved on past the pain, past the anger, past the rage against all that happened to him.

We remember all to well who hurt us in the past, but those things did not happen to stop us, but is it possible those things happened to make us better, to propel us to great things, to make a difference in our world and in other peoples lives.

Prayer:
Father, withdrawing ourselves after hurts is not part of Your plan. What I do think part of Your plan is, is to make us stronger, more resilient, fierce, more focused when we suffer hurts. As we lean on You, make us to move past set backs and trials and keep moving forward.
