Mercy is Our Saving Grace

Ephesians 2:4-6 ESV
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,  even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ by grace you have been saved and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus…”

Because God’s love is so amazing He gives us mercy, that just astounds me. Solomon said; “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 2:22-23

Our God created all things. He has watched over the thousands of years that man has destroyed His creation yet, He still loves us, He still stays with us because of His great mercy. Mercy is favor of God we don’t deserve, and His mercy keeps back the guilty verdict we do deserve.

While we were still sinners, God’s mercy and love made us alive in Christ. The last part of this passage is amazing; “by grace you have been saved and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus…”

Because of God’s great mercy we are not only saved, but the old man has died and the new man is alive in Christ Jesus. Through God’s mercy, we are forgiven, saved, justified and alive in Christ.

Prayer:
Father, I cannot thank you enough for what You have done for me. Through Your mercy, You did not see who I was, but who I could be. Thank You Father for Your great mercy!!!
