Mark 1:35 ESV
“And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, He (Jesus) departed and went out to a desolate place, and there He prayed.”

The Son of God, took time to meditate and speak to the Father. I will make this simple; if the Son of God needed time to meditate and pray, how much more do we as mere mortals need a time of refreshing either first thing in the morning or in the evening when we get a few minutes alone. No TV, no phone, no distractions, just some time to read a few scriptures. It is important to make time to worship, time to ask God for specific needs, and of course time to listen to the Spirit of God.

We need the refreshing for strength, encouragement, for communion with God. He waits for our worship, praise and possibly a song from His children’s hearts.

Prayer:
Father, please help me to set aside a time with You daily, so I will have the strength to bear the load of this world.
