“Fatherly Things”
John 15: 2 ESV
“Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.”

We certainly don’t want the Father to come look at the tree and see a branch with no fruit. The branches that do bear fruit He wants to make that branch even more fruitful but that will take some pruning (discipline). Yes to bring us to our full potential God has to do some fatherly things in our lives but the end results brings glory to the Father and blessings to His children.
