1 Corinthians 16:13 NLT
“Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.”

Paul’s instructions to the Corinthians church was for them to be on guard. Why? Paul knew their weaknesses and he knew they wavered at times in their walk with the Lord. He encouraged them, he admonished them and he loved them despite their weaknesses.

What Paul wanted most of all was for the Corinthian church to survive victoriously. For that to happen they were going to have to; Watch carefully so they would not be caught off guard. To stand firm in the faith not wavering when times get tough. Be courageous and strong, two qualities that will make us fearless in times of trouble, fearless in the face of the enemy.
