The Real Wrong at Babel

Genesis 11:5-6 ESV “And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built.  And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.”

In an age where people want to cancel our history, unknowing that history repeats itself. It’s important to keep history intact so we will not repeat past mistakes.

The people in the town of Babel decided to build a tower up to the heavens. No one knows the intent of the tower, but we can surmise that it was possibly a symbol to show the greatness of the city, or it could have been an object of worship. Either way, God gave Noah a specific command, fill the earth and the people were not doing that.

God had to confuse the language of the people in order to stop them from making a huge mistake and getting them to populate the earth. God said, “…nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.”

We have seen in history, where I believe God has kept societies from a tragic ends or huge mistakes time and time again. This society has come full circle several times because we have become a society of free thinkers and rebels and we are at the brink of destroying all that God wanted for this country, much less the world.

We are getting to the point where God is going to say: “…nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.” The path America is on is destruction. What do we do? Proclaim Jesus, take a stand for the Gospel of Christ and pray!

Speaking our mind about society isn’t going to help, voting responsibly will help, but for the most part we have to stand in the name of Jesus, proclaim the name of Jesus and not back down about our witness for Him.

Prayer:
Lord, I can’t fix society as a whole but I can reach one soul at a time. As Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:3 ESV; “For I decided to know nothing among you (society and the church) except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” My words on there own are not enough, but through the demonstration and power of the Holy Spirit, miracles can be seen. (Inspired by 1 Corinthians 2:5)
