God Didn’t Do That

2Timothy 1:17 NKJV
“For God has not given us (a) spirit of fear (or timidity), but of power, and of love and of love of a sound mind (or self-control).”

Now most of us can recite this verse by heart, so why do I bring this passage up now? Because the world is going crazy, and there is no rhyme or reason. But of course Christians should know the reason, we have been expecting this.

The world is protesting anything that comes to their minds. It doesn’t have to make since or have any sort of reasoning. The hippie era I grew up in said “if it feels good do it.” They had no idea back then what they were saying and they have no idea now what they are protesting.

So, what do we do? We should follow Paul’s advice to Timothy. Don’t be fearful or a fear monger, God did not give us that! Paul said, “God DID give us power, love and a sound mind or self-control. The world doesn’t have those things, not really.

They may say they do, but they have no idea of God’s power, God’s kind of love, and the certainty do not know self-control, or have a well- balanced mindset. So, we will not fear if we watch the news and see the foolishness going on, it is just going to get worse.

Don’t hide out, people need to see God in us. Don’t get caught up with their foolishness.
Here’s what we need to do. Pray, pray, pray! Believe, testify of our God, live like God is living in us and through us, because He is trying to do that, if we let Him.

We don’t have to have all the right words, just be a willing vessel. Use whatever medium God gives us, phone, email, text messaging, in person witnessing, social media, whatever we have, get the word out! God is the only one that is making sense right now!

Prayer:
God use every one of us. If we are timid and shy, You didn’t give us that. If we are afraid of what people may say about us, what they think about us, You didn’t give us that either, satan did. Remove the Moses excuses, (I can’t do it, I can’t talk…) from our minds and whatever avenue You give us, let us use it with boldness.
We give You all the glory and honor Father God, Amen!
