1 John 4:7-8 ESV

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.  Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

Despite how people act and what they say and do, we as followers of the one true God have to take His lead and love one another. Because God is love, and we have God inside of us we must be full of love. We can still hate sin but we have to love the dinner as God did with us when we were in sin.
