Jesus-Healer

Psalms 147:3 ESV
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

37 miracles that Jesus performed are recorded in the Gospels. But John wrote in John 21:25 ESV, “Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.”

In just one situation in the book of Luke, Luke wrote; “And He came down with them and stood on a level place, with a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon,  who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases.  And those who were troubled with unclean spirits were cured.  And all the crowd sought to touch him, for power came out from him and HEALED THEM ALL” Luke 6:17-19 ESV

In Isaiah 61, Isaiah writes a prophecy about Jesus’s power to heal in many different ways. “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed Me (the Messiah) to bring good news to the poor;
He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion—to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.” (Isaiah 61:1-3 ESV)

Make no mistake, Jesus was not just the Healer in the past, He is the Healer past, present and future. He heals mind, soul, spirit and body. He heals diseases, broken hearts, troubled minds, and faint spirits.

Most people do not see a lot of miracles. Too often people seek signs and wonders. Miracles are acts of supernatural intervention. Signs and wonders are acts that prove God is who He says He is.

I have seen instantaneous physical healings and gradual healings of hearts, minds, spirits, bodies. I’ve seen healings, in people’s lives that didn’t have a lot of faith but those around them praying used their faith.

I’ve seen troubled minds restored, broken marriages saved and restored relationships in families, friends. Jesus is The Healer, what we have to do is rely completely on Him, trust Him and His timing.

Prayer:
Jesus, I know You are still the Healer and I know You do miracles today just like You always have. We are not looking for signs and wonders, we are looking for Your Divine interventions.
