Healing

Proverbs 4:20-22 ESV
“My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.”

Solomon is giving wise word’s to His son. In this season of Solomon’s life, he was in right standing with God. His words were from God to give great advice to millions of people and wise wisdom for his son. When we rely on God and His words, Solomon says, “keep them within your heart.” Storing up words of wisdom from God will bring healing for mind, spirit and our bodies.

I have often sat by the bedside of someone not well, and read scripture to them. What does that do? It builds faith, assurance, hope, and encourages healing. Psalms 103:2-4 says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

If you know someone who is sick, or depressed, or feeling hopeless, encourage them, pray for them outloud so they can hear it. Read them scriptures, or send them scriptures that will bring hope and healing. God still heals, He still restores, and brings back health, hope and try life!

Solomon says, “For they (God’s words) are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.”

Prayer:
Lord, many are the needs of Your children. Bring faith, hope, and healing today, in the mighty name of Jesus.
