Mighty to Save

Zephania 3:17 NLT
“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

God is more than the Creator, He is the LORD God who is in the midst of us; loving us, caring for us, protecting us, defending us, indwelling us. He died so that we might have life and have it more abundantly. In fact, Jesus said, “…I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

He is always near at hand to help and to heal, to hold and to carry us in His everlasting arms. God is not only in the midst of us, but He is the Almighty God, He is mighty to save His people. To save us not only from our enemies without and our fears within, but also from the curse of sin and death.

Christ is the provision for our need, the remedy for our fear, the cure for our problems, and the antidote to sin. He is our protector and defender, and He is our victorious warrior. He is our triumphant Saviour, Who is mighty to save.

Prayer:
Lord God, we have the promise that You are living among us. You are our mighty Savior. Take delight in us today with gladness. Calm all our fears. Rejoice over us with joyful songs. We need to hear You singing over us today!
