1 Peter 5:10 ESV
“…The God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”

When Israel began its return to its homeland after being led into captivity in Babylon. Where they were held for 70 years as judgement for their unfaithfulness to God. They arrived in Jerusalem, and were heartbroken at the sad state of their beloved city. The temple had been destroyed and the walls of the city had been torn down. But Nehemiah, a mere cupbearer to the Persian King cobbled together some old men, women and children to rebuild a wall the was 30-40 feet in height at some points. Even with this unlikely band of people, the wall was restored, made up as it was 70 years earlier.

We all experience times when we need healing or restoration.  God will do that for us, if we will seek Him with our whole heart. We may not be able to look like we did when we were younger or feel like we did when we were younger, But He will restore our heart and Spirit and the joy of our salvation just as we were when we first came to God.

Prayer:
Father, we need your restoration, joy, peace and the love for You as we did at the start of our Christian journey!
