2 Peter 1:2 ESV

“May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.”

I know this just sounds like a salutation from Peter, but understand Peter is writing this letter, under the power and influence of the Holy Spirit. He has one shot at reaching these exiles with his words. It may be our one shot at receiving what he has to say also. He says, may grace, (God’s unmerited favor) and peace, (a sense of calmness when, everything and everyone else is in total chaos) be multiplied (abundantly supplied) as we increase in knowledge of God and His ways, and of His Son Jesus, which comes as we meditate, reflect, and study God’s word. The more we know of God, about God and His Son and listen to God, the more grace and peace we receive.
