God Meant It For Good

Genesis 50:20
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”

In Joseph’s dreams as a boy, he was destined for greatness. He had no idea, the road to greatness would be a great mess. His brothers plotted against him. As a teenager, he was sold to a traveling band of Ishmaelites.

The Ishmaelites sold him to Potiphar a ruler in Egypt. He became a servant in his private home. Potiphar’s wife falsely accused Joseph, he ended up in jail. One bad break after another happened to Joseph but he never gave up hope on God For 13 years, Joseph went from one bad break to another, but then things turned around for Joseph. He became a ruler in Egypt and his wisdom saved millions of lives.

After about 20 years Joseph reconnected with his brothers. He told them; “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”

We often get stuck in a cycle of bad breaks and we think things are never going to change. Hold on, God isn’t finished with us yet. He has greatness lined up for us, it is never too late. Keep trusting, keep believing, keep seeking God, keep looking for His fulfillment in your lives.

God’s has something planned for each of us, if we don’t lose hope and keep seeking His will for our lives. Paul said, “And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
(Philippians 1:6 ESV)

Prayer:
Lord, so many have lost hope of You ever working great things in and through our lives. But I believe with You Lord, all things are possible. What You started You will finish if we don’t lose hope, keep working, keep seeking.
