“A Day to Reflect”

Ecclesiastes 3:1-4,4,7

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;”

Saturday must have been a somber day for the disciples after the death of Jesus.  They had followed Him for three and a half years.  They had seen the miracles, heard His teachings and embraced His doctrine.  Although at this point in time they still were not fully vested in Jesus’ cause or what the events of the Holy week stood for.  Still something kept them from totally disbanding.  Even now, they still believed that Jesus came from God.  Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath, not much could happen, but Resurrection Sunday was on the way…
