God Is Our Refuge

Psalms 46:1 ESV

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

In God we can find the peace and protection that we need. Through our commitment to God comes a blessing; Obey God and know that God will be our hiding place. Deuteronomy 28 has two subtitles, in most Bibles; Blessings for Obedience, and Cursing’s for Disobedience. Obeying God comes with many benefits but disobedience brings trouble, it’s that simple.

In today’s passage, it says that God is our refuge and strength. He will hide us from trouble and give us strength to bear whatever is coming against us, He will never leave us or forsake us.

Have you ever felt alone when things were not going well, when our thoughts are telling us that something or someone is out to hurt us? Well for those times I have an antidote, and His name is Jesus. He is our very present help in times of trouble. Which means that we are never alone to bear the load or the circumstances that have come against us.

Prayer:

Lord, Your word tells us to cast all our anxieties on You, because You care for us. (1 Peter 5:7 ESV). This morning we cast every care to You and in return we receive Your protection and Your strength. Thank You for always being their for us Lord for EVERY situation that comes our way. In Your name Lord Jesus we pray, Amen!
