Psalms 23:1 ESV
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

The Lord as my Shepherd means that He is my protector, my guide, my provider, the one who cares for me but He at times will have to correct me as well. A Shepherd is responsible for the safety and the well being of His sheep. At times He will have to rescue, but at times when I am off doing my own thing. He will have to come get me and bring me back and love me but discipline me as well. But when the Lord is my Shepherd I will not be in want. He always provides!

Prayer:
Father, today be my Shepherd, lead me in green pastures and beside still waters, but if I wonder off of the path that you have set for me, bring me back in your arms of love.
