Reciprocation
Proverbs 11:25 ESV
“Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.”
Understand, reciprocation is not giving to get, it is giving out of pure motives to bless someone that needs or deserves a blessing. We see people that are good honest people, and we thank God for them, but sometimes we need to put legs on our prayers and bless people because we appreciate them. There may not even be a need a specific need in their life, but we feel like we want to bless them anyway.
Solomon says that the person who is just sowing kindness and generosity will himself or herself be blessed. Jesus said, “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you,” Luke 6:38).
Go ahead, create a reciprocal environment today!
Prayer:
Lord, help us to give out of kindness, to bless someone even if they do not necessarily need anything. Teach us to give out of purity, not expecting to receive, but just wanting to bless someone. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
