Radiant

Psalms 34:5 ESV

“Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.”

This doesn’t mean that our faces should always look radiant, but people should be able to know if we hold dear to Jesus and His teachings. People should be able to see that He is where our help comes from, and that He is the one who chases away the gloom from our faces.

In this reference, to look to Jesus means to set our gaze on Him, trusting, believing knowing He is all that we need. Hebrews 12:2 says that we should be “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…”

To be radiant means to be confident in Jesus, trusting Him, knowing He will always see us through. “…their faces shall never be ashamed”, means that we never lose hope, we are never wondering if Jesus is coming to help us, we know He is helping us.

Prayer:

Lord, we look to You the author and finisher of our faith, there is no other Savior. We trust in You, confide in You, and we will always know that You are looking out for us and our good. Thank You Lord Jesus, Amen!
