Help We Can Count On

John 14:16-17 ESV
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.”

We are always asking for help from the Lord, and rightly so because He said ask, and keep on asking… (Matthew 7:7) God is continuously giving us help and of course the Holy Spirit is a helper that lives in us 24/7.

Sometimes, we ask for help but the help God sends is not recognized and often rejected because it does not fit our ideals. Sometimes, God’s answers for help are not the way we want, we want it easier, faster, more along the lines of our thinking.

My best advice? Try it God’s way, the helper inside of us will never lead us astray, down the wrong path, or into danger.

Prayer:
Lord, You did exactly what You said You would do. You have never left us or forsaken us. You sent us a helper that is not just external but internally within us as well. I know I can count on You for the best help possible.
