Reaping With Joy

Psalms 126:5-6 NLT
“Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.”

These verses may seem a little obscure but this is the interpretation: A poor farmer had just enough seed for planting and some for making bread, so when he goes out to sow his seed, he sows with much concern because, if the crop fails, he loses his livelihood and food to eat. So he sows in mourning not knowing his fate. But when the harvest comes in, and it is a good crop, he rejoices because his livelihood is saved and he has plenty of food to eat.

We often fear the worst while we hope for the best. The best remedy is to keep moving forward with God. Trust God for the outcome, whatever the future holds God is with us and He will carry us through. If we hold on to God, trust Him with the unknown, the end results will bring blessings, peace and contentment.

Prayer:
Father, I put my future in Your hands! I will trust that You will provide for me and my family!
