Galatians 6:9 ESV
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

It’s not always easy to do the right thing and say the right things in a world where people live carefree lives. We are not here on this earth to worry about what is fair, we are here, and chosen to do the will of the Father.

When we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior we live our lives with morals, standards and values. We want to do good things and treat people well. When people grow up without God, they learn to depend on themselves. In that state, life’s purpose is to fulfill their own desires, look out for self.

Not believing in God teaches most that there are no consequences, so it’s easy to be selfish. I know not all people that do not know God are not selfish but they are an anomaly.

Jesus said we are the lights of the world. As lights of the world we are to bring other people to Christ. A saying of mine has been for a long time, “meet people at their need.” When we do that, it opens a door, we get their attention, It tells them someone cares, then when their heart is tender they perhaps will be open to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Don’t get tired of doing good, that’s what God would have us do. If we stay the course, we will reap a harvest.

Prayer:
Father, today, help me to meet someone at their need, to show them the love of Jesus.
