Word of Mouth

Psalms 9:11

“Sing praises to the Lord, who sits enthroned in Zion! Tell among the peoples his deeds!”

They say that the best business contacts are those who find out about a business “by word of mouth.” With the Lord, that is precisely what He wants from you and me. He wants people to find out about His grace and mercy through word of mouth. That can come from a testimony or just a short explanation of what the Lord means to us or what He has done for us. It can be from a simple conversation about the goodness of God.

Word of mouth can come from being in a church service and people hear us singing about the Lord. It can come in a Bible study where we tell the greatness of our God. It can come from an email, a text, a note, a card or social media. Social media will even reach a wider audience. However, wherever, whenever, give God glory by telling of His greatness and His love.

Prayer:

Lord, You have been so good to us. We think nothing of telling someone about a good business that has provided a good service for us. We think nothing of giving a good rating about someone’s business practices, so we should shout it from the house top of all that You have done for us and our family. Never let us be silent in giving You praise and honor. Never let us stop singing and praising Your name and giving You the glory and honor that You deserve. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
