John 11: 35

“Jesus Wept”

At this moment in time when this short verse was recorded, Lazarus had died and Jesus was coming to raise him from the dead. Jesus felt the pain that Mary and Martha felt when Lazarus was dead, He had a heart of compassion for those He knew very well and loved. Jesus not only wept for those who felt the grief that day, He also wept because man would suffer this type of loss time after time again all their lives. The frustration of the evil in this world, death being one of them, He wept as He does now every time you and I suffer the loss of a loved one.

Jesus has compassion for you.
