Acts 26:20 ESV
“But (I) declared first to those in Damascus… and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance.”

Hollywood believes that all people who showed a little bit of goodness in their lives is going to heaven. I have been at funerals where the deceased that were not Christians were precariously placed in heaven by the ministers or directors words.

The fact remains without repentance, without confession of who Jesus is, heaven is out of the question. Then there is the follow up to repentance and confession, there has to be a change.

Change involves purposeful action: acts of kindness that are deliberate to the new life in Christ. Acts that exemplify God’s grace and mercy. Acts that express Jesus Christ lives in us.

Paul’s says the best way to do that, is not to be conformed to the world but to be renewed in the spirit of our minds. (Romans 12:2) Repentance and confession of God’s Son in our hearts lives cannot be separated from actions and deeds that express the new life in Christ. I for one am sick and tired of people that call themselves Christians but act like the devil.

Prayer:
Father, let my words be few but seasoned with salt. Let my light be a ligt shining out through the night to lead others to You!
