Truth Will Always Prevail

Proverbs 12:17 ESV
“Whoever speaks the truth gives honest evidence, but a false witness utters deceit.”

Someone once said, “the truth isn’t always pretty, but it is the truth.” Billy Graham said; “Honesty means exactly what it says. We are honest and trustworthy in all our dealings. People can trust our word, because we refuse to lie or shade the truth.”

I’ve heard more lies this political season than I can ever remember hearing before. Lies are mascaraded as truth and the truth is ignored. I’m praying for the light of Jesus to expose the darkness in every arena of government and this voting cycle

I once had a subcontractor that was upset with my criticism of his work (it was my job at this company to find the flaws). He proceeded to the office and told them how I cussed him out and and said all kinds of vulgar things about his work. The superintendent just sat back in his chair and smiled at the man and said, “that’s not true, you just lied about the wrong person.”

After a short exchange, embarrased, the subcontractor left the office quickly and went back to fix his work. Live the truth, speak the truth, own up to the truth, the truth will set you free from all evil.

Father of truth, reveal the lies from the truth. Shine your light to expose the darkness.
