Jesus Christ (Messiah)

Why do I believe that Jesus is the Messiah? Because He said He was and He fulfilled all of the prophesies of the Messiah.

Luke 24:25-27 ESV. “And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!  Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?”  And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.”

When Jesus was standing before Pilot after His mock trial and just before His crucifixion, Pilot asked Jesus if He was King of the Jews. His answer? “It is as you say.” (Luke 23:3)

A woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.” John 4:7 ESV, “The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When He comes,  He will tell us all things.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”’
(John 4:25,6 ESV)

Isaiah prophecies of the true Messiah. The Jews, Saddlers and Pharisees were looking for a different kind of Messiah but Isaiah depicts Jesus as the Christ perfectly.

Isaiah 53:1-6 ESV “Who has believed what He has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He grew up before Him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; He had no form or majesty that we should look at Him, and no beauty that we should desire him.

He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.

Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”

Jesus is who He said He was the Messiah, Savior of the world, the King of Kings!

Prayer:
Father, many do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah, I’m sorry for their loss. They have missed out on the greatest gift of life and eternity!
