Never, Ever Ashamed

Psalms 34: 4-5 ESV
“I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.”

I love this passage:

1) I sought God- He answered!

2) While He answered He delivered me from ALL my fears!

3) Those who look to (seek) God are radiant.

4) Their faces (their countenance) will never be ashamed!

God seeks us out more than we seek Him out. So, when He sees His children seeking His face, He responds quickly! I know what some are thinking, there have been times when God did not answer quickly, but I assure You He did, it was just not the way we wanted.

I have seen so many times in my life when the answer seemed to be delayed, but come to find out, God was showing me things, or teaching me things. I have learned more lessons in troubled times than I care to share.

I have also had thousands of prayers answered immediately but rarely in the way I thought that they would be answered. I still have to recite this song, I sought God, and God answered me every time!

I have had God deliver me from more fears than I want anyone to know about. Still at my age, I see God breaking down barriers or strongholds. Some I knew were there, some I did not know were there.

Those who look to him are radiant…” Getting close to God is something we can learn from Moses. When Moses sought God on the mountain top, His face glowed. His face was so bright and brilliant, that the Israelites had to ask him to put on a veil to cover his face, so they could look at him.

Now I don’t mean to be silly, but we should be so radiant when we get into the presence of God and linger there, that when we go out and meet people, they see God aglow in our countenance.

Prayer:
Lord, teach me, help me, to linger in Your presence and bask in Your presence. I want to be there to receive, but I also want people know that I have been with Jesus! In Your name Lord I ask, Amen!
