Divine Favor

1 Samuel 3:19,21 ESV
“And Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.  And the Lord appeared again at Shiloh, for the Lord revealed himself to Samuel at Shiloh by the word of the Lord.”

Historians believed that Samuel could have been as young as 5 when he went to serve at the Temple. The Bible says the Lord was with Samuel and the Lord established all the words that Samuel spoke.

Verse 21 says that God made regular visits with Samuel at Shiloh. That’s amazing favor. How do you get that kind of favor? Dedicate your life completely to God and listen to God when He speaks. When does God speak? Everyday! He speaks by the Holy Spirit to our spirit, He speaks through the Word of God.

Mostly, we fail to listen. That is not condemnation, it’s just a word of warning. If we want regular visits from God we have to make regular visits to God!

Prayer:
Father, the only way You can establish my words is if I’m established in Your word. The only way I can hear from You is to make time to hear from You.
