Wisdom is Calling

Proverbs 1:20-22 ESV
“Wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voice; at the head of the noisy streets she cries out; at the entrance of the city gates she speaks:  “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge?”

Every day wisdom is offered, to everyone that wants it, but most people choose to stay within their own realm of thinking and not expand their minds. Some cannot because of cognitive reasoning, and I acknowledge them, and I understand. But, for everyone else, wisdom calls.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3:18-19, “Don’t fool yourselves. Whoever thinks they are wise in this world should become a fool. That’s the only way they can be wise. I say this because the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, “He catches those who think they are wise in their own clever traps.”

Don’t get me wrong, I think we should all gain wisdom, knowledge, and understanding on a daily basis, that way we understand the things of this world. The wisdom I hope we are seeking above all is the wisdom from God and His word. God’s wisdom gives us the wisdom of God and we become wise in God and of the things that try to come against us in the world.

God’s wisdom will give us what we need from God daily, and it will give us wisdom of the things to trust and not trust in this world. Wisdom from God is calling, listen intently.

Prayer:
Father God, I seek You and Your wisdom. I need You to enlighten my heart and mind today and every day. Today, as we listen to whatever church service that we choose to listen to, give us wisdom and discretion, to seek the scriptures that the things that we hear are true and uplifting. In Your name Lord God, Amen!
