The Righteous Reward

Psalms 37:25 ESV
“I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread.”

All my life I have been around Christians. I have seen many that had a great relationship with God, and I have seen those who barely warmed up to the fire of the presence of God. Those who I saw as the truly righteous of God, seemed to always have what they needed, not an overabundance, but they were well taken care of.

I grew up on a small farm with my mom, dad and brother. We grew what we ate and raised chickens and hogs for meat. We did not have much money back then, but I never remember six boys and two adults leaving the table hungry. I always had clothes at the start of school, and we made regular visits to the doctor. We were poor but rich in the Lord.

Later in life, my brothers that stayed close to the Lord and all had businesses where they were successful. My parents made good money in construction and real estate. I believe God blessed us because of our relationships with God. I can say, I have been young, and now am older, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread.

Prayer:
Thank you, Father, for faithfully providing for all our needs according to your riches in glory, by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19) Our heritage from You is, that our Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalms 50:10) and You provide for Your children. Thank You, Amen!
