Sing Loudly to the Lord

Psalms 59:16 AMP
“But as for me, I will sing of Your mighty strength and power; Yes, I will sing joyfully of Your loving kindness in the morning; For You have been my stronghold And a refuge in the day of my distress.”

The right direction for the middle of the week is singing loudly to the Lord. We typically do not sing very loudly when we are in a crowd. Most of our boisterous singing is reserved when we feel like no one is listening.

So, this morning, whether in the shower, or standing at the kitchen sink, or in the yard, or in the vehicle going to work, or a job site, give the Lord all that you have with whatever song that will praise Him for His mighty strength and power. Give Him a joyful song of praise.

Sing of His love and kindness. Sing for what He has done. Sing about what He means to You, Sing of His protection and peace. Sing How great our God is for His love.

God being our stronghold means that He is our hiding place. He is the one we run to in times of trouble. He is the almighty God that has created all things great and small. He is our refuge and peace. This morning, sing of His love forever.

Prayer:
Father, “You have been my stronghold and a refuge in the day of my distress.” Today, I honor you with words and songs. I sing, “Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee. How great Thou art, how great Thou art.” (How Great Thou Art)
