God’s Love is Amazing

Romans 5:8 ESV
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

It never ceases to amaze me the love that God had for me, even before I received His Son as Lord and Savior of my life. Even in the dark hours after my salvation when I wondered in my wilderness, God still reached out to me continually reminding me who I was designed to be.

I knew I was supposed to be in the ministry and I knew I was called by God. However, in my own stupidity I mishandled my life and had a setback that cost me a few years in the wilderness.

Moses also knew he was supposed to be used by God to deliver God’s people from slavery. With this knowledge, Moses did something foolish and he killed a man. He feared for his life, and he ran away from his calling. He ended up in the back side of the desert. Not just in the wilderness, but in the back side of the desert.

Forty years he hid and then God came to him and brought him back to his calling, leading God’s people. We are never too far gone, we are never so lost in the wilderness that God doesn’t know where we are.

It’s kind of like your GPS when you miss your turn, the GPS recalculates to get you back on the right path. God is better than any GPS. He knows where we are and where we are supposed to be. When we get lost, He recalculates our route to get us back on the right path.

Prayer:
Thank You Father, I have never been so lost that You did not come find me, and put me on your shoulders, and carry me home. Thank You for never giving up on me. In Your love Father, I pray, Amen!
