Isaiah 26: 4 Amplified

“Trust [confidently] in the Lord forever [He is your fortress, your shield, your banner], For the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].”

We love the idea of God being our fortress and our rock, but we have no idea how many times He has stepped in the way of a car out of control heading towards us or a drive by shooting in which He shields us from harm or thousands of other things He has protected us from! He is a Rock always and forever to keep us from harm.
