All My Sins Nailed Him to the Cross

Isaiah 53:4-6 Amplified
“But [in fact] He has borne our griefs, And He has carried our sorrows and pains; Yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken, Struck down by God and degraded and humiliated [by Him]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.

All of us like sheep have gone astray, We have turned, each one, to his own way; But the Lord has caused the wickedness of us all [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]
To fall on Him [instead of us].”

We call today “Good Friday,” because it was the day that our Lord paid in full our redemption. Jesus set us free from the penalty for sin by allowing Himself to be nailed to the cross, one of the cruelest deaths anyone could ever imagine. Jesus willingly surrendered and endured all sufferings to help us restore our relationship with God.

These are profound words of our Lord about the love of God for us; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” (John 3:16-17)

I echo the words of Isaiah 53:6b in remembrance today of His sacrifice for us; “…But the Lord has caused the wickedness of us all [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing] To fall on Him [instead of us].” I would prefer to call this day Redemption Friday, because we need to take serious note of what our Lord did for us and for the whole world, forever! To all who will accept His sacrifice of love, and call Him Savior and Lord, this day is our Redemption Day.

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for the price you paid for a debt that I owed. I’m sorry that it took You having to laying down on that old rugged cross and allowing those men to drive nails in Your hands and feet for my redemption. I owe You everything!
In your name Lord, Amen
