Wednesday – Day of Anointing and Betrayal Mathew 26: 6-7, 14-15 ESV

“Now when Jesus was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, a woman came up to him with an alabaster flask of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head…” Then one of the twelve, whose name was Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said,

“What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?” Traditionally, Wednesday is when Jesus was anointed with oil by a sinful woman who had been transformed and betrayed by one of His close friends. One went from sin to salvation, the other went from walking with Jesus to the ultimate sin, he betrayed his friend the Son of God for money.
