Genesis 41:25,29-32 ESV
“Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dreams of Pharaoh are one;  God has revealed to Pharaoh what He is about to do. There will come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt,  but after them there will arise seven years of famine, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt.  The famine will consume the land, and the plenty will be unknown in the land by reason of the famine that will follow, for it will be very severe. And the doubling of Pharaoh’s dream means that the thing is fixed by God…”

As God is giving Joseph the interpretation of Pharoahs dream, Joseph is in step with God and giving everything word for word to Pharoah. Before this talk is over, Pharoah will believe in the God of Joseph. So much so that Pharoah will turn over a large portion of his kingdom to Joseph, that morning a prisoner, in the afternoon a ruler, brought about by the hand of God. Only God can do that!

Not many of us would endure in Joseph’s thirteen year slide to get to the good part, but Joseph was patient and wise. I believe Joseph would have tredged through longer if it was necessary, because in his heart he knew God had not forgotten him.
