Deliverance

Psalms 34:18-19 ESV
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

We are not exempt from the tragedies and heartbreaks of this world. Sometimes we do not understand why we have to go through sorrows, sickness, and troubles, but this world is not our home. When we get home there will be none of these things.

For now, we are on a journey. We do not live to ourselves or for ourselves, we are living our existence for God. We all have a mission; we all have a plan and a destiny to fulfill. God will give us the strength to bear every load and every burden, we just have to remain faithful and not falter.

David says that God is near the broken hearted. We want God to take away that pain, but sometimes when God does not take away the pain, He uses the pain to turn us in the right direction. Sometimes the pain alters our pathway or attitude.

We often do not understand why we the righteous have afflictions, pains, sorrows and sickness but trust in God He will deliver. That is a promise that we hold on to.

I have found that getting older is not for the faint of heart. It has its aches and pains, we lose loved ones, we watch our children and grandchildren struggle at times. Through these times I hold to the fact that God has everything under his control, if I give Him the control and let go of it.

God’s timing is perfect. His deliverance is sure. Then we have completed our tasks for Him and fulfilled our destiny, He rewards us with all good things.

Prayer:
Thank You Father God, I sense You are near. Thank you for Your deliverance, thank You for Your direction in my life and heart. Show me the way that I should go and what You would have me to do for You. I seek to please You, my Father. In Your name I humbly pray, Amen!
