Persistence

Luke 5:18-20 ESV
“And behold, some men were bringing on a bed a man who was paralyzed, and they were seeking to bring him in and lay him before Jesus,  but finding no way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst before Jesus.  And when He (Jesus) saw their faith, He said, ‘Man, your sins are forgiven you.”’

We have all heard this story before and we need to remember that when we go to God in prayer, we do not need to get overwhelmed by our circumstances or why we do not deserve to be healed. We also should tell a few other prayer warriors about your request so they can petition the Master as well.

These men were persistent for their friend that was paralyzed, and they were not going to be deterred from getting to Jesus the Healer. When we are faced with a situation that is urgent, these are the kind of people that we want by our side, going to the Master on our behalf. There are still a few trusted prayer warriors that are willing to tear the roof of a house off to get you the healing that you need.

We cannot make God heal us, but often we make concessions why we do not get our healing. Basically we allow barriers to keep us from our healing. In these times, employ some real prayer warriors around us to go to the Lord on our behalf for our healing.

Prayer:
Lord, we need You desperately. We have friends and love ones that need Your healing power. They are desperate for You Lord! Heal them, restore them, deliver them. Break down every barrier that keeps them from Your touch. We desperately seek You Lord, Amen!
