Meaningful Life

John 4: 19b-21 CEB
“…The light came into the world, and people loved darkness more than the light, for their actions are evil. All who do wicked things hate the light and don’t come to the light for fear that their actions will be exposed to the light.  Whoever does the truth comes to the light so that it can be seen that their actions were done in God.”

Jesus, the light of the world came into a dark world, yes to expose the deeds of darkness, but also to draw people to the light. If I were to equate the darkness to a life devoid of true meaning, that would mean the the light is a meaningful life.

To live this life of darkness with the idea that there is no God, no consequences, no eternal life seems like a waste, that is darkness. To live this life of light means to live life with purpose by living for Jesus knowing one day we will live in perfect peace and bliss. That is living in His light.

Having people recognize that we serve a risen Savior is an honor. To live this life on purpose, knowing we do what we do for the Savior, is reflecting His light.

Prayer:
Lord I pray all our work and deeds reflect Your glory. Shine through us to reach those in darkness. Prepare hearts to receive You today. In Your name Precious Lord I ask, Amen!
