Walking With Jesus

Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Every so often, we get off the path we are walking with the Lord. The way is bright enough, but sometimes the path gets narrow. Looking at things around us, watching things happen, we lose our footing.

Hebrews 12:1b-2a says, “…let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the Pioneer and Perfecter of faith…”  So, we look to Jesus, get back on the path and keep going. It is a daily walk and for some a daily challenge.

For daily encouragement, Isaiah 40:4 says, “Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.”

Also, Habakkuk 3:19 says, “The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to tread on the heights.”

This morning on our daily walk with the Lord we need to focus on Jesus, not the things of this world. We know because of Jesus that the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain, and it does matter the terrain of life that we encounter, good or bad, He will give us the ability to tread on any rough patches of life.

No matter what this life brings our way, Jesus is the answer to get us back in step with Him.

Prayer:
Lord, walk with us today, help us keep our focus and if anything comes our way that is unsavory or harmful, give us the feet of a deer to run on the rough terrain and remain true to You. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
