Forgetting the Last Time He Gave Us a Miracle

Mark 6:47-52 ESV
“And when evening came, the boat was out on the sea, and he was alone on the land.  And he saw that they were making headway painfully, for the wind was against them. And about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. He meant to pass by them,  but when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out,  for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart; it is I.  Do not be afraid.” And he got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. And they were utterly astounded, for they did not understand about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.”

Do you remember the last time Jesus did something miraculous in your life. The time He brought you out of trouble or maybe an illness or financial difficulty? Do you remember when you needed a confirmation about something and it came through just in time. Forgetting is easy for some, especially when it is things that we take for granted.

I have been traveling for work to Ocala and parts beyond for 37 years. Every day I get there safely and come home safely I thank God for protecting me, and my wife when she goes with me. I never take it for granted. I thank God every day for giving me strength to do my job. These may seem like small things to others, but to me they are gifts of miracles.

It’s a miracle to me to have such an amazing relationship with my wife. Don’t forget what God has done, whether they are little things or big things. The next time you come up against a storm in your life, remember how God came through for you the last time, there is no limit to His miracles.

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for Your gifts of mercy and grace. Thank You for Your miracles big and small. Thank You for the gift of Your ever watching eyes. Thank You for never running out of miracles. In Your name Lord, Amen!
